Toddlers Get Hip

Kidspace : Episode HKID-108 -- More Projects »
The Fischers are California transplants who infuse a West Coast vibe into their East Coast abode—except in the barebones playroom. Their little ones, two-year-old Aidan and one-year-old Ella are much too cool for this room. Because Aidan's a rough and tumble little boy and Ella'’s not far behind, the room will have to merge style with sturdiness. Mom and dad want a colorful space that works for the kids with extra storage and seating for themselves, too. Designer and artist Kevin Perez mixes these ideas up for the perfect playroom makeover just under $1200.

Before: Playroom Lacks Personality
The playroom is sparse and bare, with plenty of white walls and, of course, toys.
