Wall Paint–$84
The walls are painted a vibrant blue–the little boy’s favorite color. A stripe of darker blue is painted around the perimeter of the room. The closet doors are painted the boy’s second favorite color–purple. Letters and numbers are stenciled on the closet doors using the two shades of blue painted on the walls.

Headboard/Bookshelves–$62
An existing shelf is painted black and is hung above the bed. A matching shelf is built, also painted black and hung along the adjacent wall. The shelves are hung in line with the dark blue stripe on the wall.

Since the adorable four-year-old is transitioning from a toddler bed to a "big boy" bed all new bedding is added.

Window Treatment–$124
A cornice board is built and painted a metallic color. Attached to the middle of the cornice is an old car grill, then two traffic-style lights are attached to each end.

Dresser–$32
The homeowner’s dresser is given a fresh coat of paint, and new draw pulls in the shapes of numbers are added. Decorative license plates are hung on the side of the dresser.
