Before: With a baby boy due in four weeks, color procrastination of the highest order is happening in this spare room that needs to be a nursery quick. It's still builder's white and there isn't even a crib yet! The homeowners are passionate travelers who love color, but need help bringing these elements into the baby's room.

After: The love of adventure and seeing new places inspired a South African nursery design. A gold sunshine color on the walls reminds one of a new day on safari and the green daybed and crib bedding mimic the native plants. By steering away from traditional blue for boys, the couple created a beautiful, rich color scheme for their new baby.
Using a South African vacation as inspiration, host Jane Lockhart helps Heather and Ishmael turn a white room into a nursery with the color of sand and safari. There are textures that remind them of the wild animals, lush green of tall grasses for the daybed and hits of red from the native flowers shot about the room. Even the wood of the crib and bureau remind them of the acacia trees, but it's the playful wild gold and tan striped pattern on the walls that lets them know their second child is going to love this room.
