Professional chefs Sara and Ian Flores may know their way around a kitchen, but they need some help creating a style for their bedroom. They both work long, exhausting hours and want a bedroom where they can completely relax. It's up to the Design on a Dime team to cook up some magic and turn this bright, large bedroom into an Asian-inspired Zen retreat.
Before: Uninspiring Space
The Dilemma
The bedroom is really spacious and has lots of closet space. Unfortunately, the furniture that worked in the couple's previous apartment doesn't fit into the scale or style of this room. The small bed is dwarfed by the large space and sits too far from the television across the room to watch comfortably. Also, the window faces a busy street, so the noise level in the room is not exactly relaxing. The Floreses both work long hours, and they want to come home to a serene, spa-like bedroom where they can relax. For all available product information, click on the After photo of the room.
