The Solution
Using Jackie's salmon-colored nightstand as the color inspiration, interior designer Lee Snijders keeps Estrada's existing furniture and brings in some vintage-inspired patterns to liven up the space. Design coordinator Charles Burbridge takes a bold floral element from a retro fabric pattern and translates it onto a headboard made of Masonite. Summer Baltzer sews funky bedding and window treatments, while Snijders creates a '70s-inspired pole lamp to highlight the new reading area. Matching nightstands from a thrift store have bamboo trim that matches Estrada's armoire. The vintage furniture and bold retro fabrics stand against vivid tangerine walls.The Cost
