Design on a Dime : Episode DOD-1509 -- More Projects »
Michael Almeida may be the most creative kid on the block, but you wouldn't know it by his bland, disorganized bedroom. He wants his new room to encompass all his varied interests such as bikes, cars, graphic design and photography. He also wants his room to have a retro mod feel. The Design on a Dime team turns his room into a funky teenage hangout for less than $1,000.

Before: Bland Boy's Bedroom
The Dilemma
Almeida's bedroom needs color and organization to make it fun and functional. He doesn’t have enough space for his computer and other electronics and could use some desk drawers, but all he has is an old kitchen table for a desk. The windows are bare except for plain white mini-blinds, and Almeida would prefer the room to be darker. Mismatched furniture in different wood tones and a wagon wheel light fixture will definitely roll on out!
