Jordan and Lucy have just married and are in the process of saving for a new home. In the meantime, they are looking to spruce up their apartment. They want to start with their bedroom, but have no idea how to incorporate the room's classic architecture with their contemporary tastes. They would like to marry the two different styles through color, in ways that will follow them when they eventually move.

Because it's a rental property, there are restrictions, such as not altering the hardwood flooring and ornate molding, but they can change the wall color. The wall color is now white, and the trim is cream. The apartment has several traditional architectural features, but their furniture is modern. The focal point in the bedroom is a fireplace with an ornate tile facade in deep tones of brown and rust.
