Two club chairs covered in cotton pique fabric with contrasting piping detail are located the end of the bed in the inspiration room. The pair cost $3,000. Halili spots two chairs at a discount home store with a similar curved back. Michelle removes the slipcovers, opens up the seams and sews on piping. The color of the piping ties in with the color of the bedding. Total cost of new chairs: $258.

Tip: Piping is a great way to dress up plain slipcovers. It is about $2 per yard and is available at most fabric stores.
