The $2,000 headboard in the inspiration room is a transitional style with clean lines and a dark espresso-colored finish. The Double Take team found a $40 wooden headboard in the "as is" section of a furniture store. Jamie modifies the frame to match the original by cutting off the top curve and adding a straight pine board. Then pre-cut, formed pillars are added to each side of the frame to give the bed height and style. The entire piece is sanded down and then painted with a mixture of light brown and black latex paint to replicate the espresso finish.
