Designed by Carter MacCartee, this serene and relaxing room was designed to be a sophisticated, peaceful retreat. She achieved the look by using traditional and contemporary furnishings with a mix of eclectic accessories and custom bedding. The subdued color palette includes a blend of the finest upholstery and fabrics–silk and grass wall covering, dupioni silk bedding, pillows made of imported European textiles and original handpainted artwork.The Double Take team–makeover designer Michele Addey, budget shopper Halili Knox and carpenter Jamie Schmitt–create a mirror image of this sophisticated bedroom for less than $2,200.
