Silk and Pearls
Special Presentation : Episode HMRB1-S04 -- More Projects »
Melinda knew Hal Kuehne was her soul mate after only seeing him for a split second from a passing car. Today, they've been married over 20 years and live in a house they built and decorated themselves.
Their bedroom is the ultimate in romance. The centerpiece of the space is an elegant bed and elaborate handpainted silk canopy. The fabric is secured to the ceiling and fans out to the posts, then drapes down to the floor where it gathers softly like a bridal gown.
Love letters and curtains made of bridal gown fabric are all part of the dazzling decor. The window sheers are a blend of silk and metal for a luminous look. The valances are embroidered silk trimmed with a string of pearls. No romantic room is complete without flowers and Melinda's used both fresh and silk stems to give the suite an inviting allure.
