Designer Craig Seebach shares how he transformed a nondescript Harlem condo to fit his lifestyle.

  • He knocked out non-loadbearing walls between the living room, dining room and master bedroom to create a more open space.
  • A variety of furnishings fill up the living room, including antique store bargains, family heirlooms and inexpensive flea market finds.
  • Color is used to visually separate the living and dining rooms. The dining room walls are painted a color called "Seaweed," which changes color depending on the light--during the day it's a light green and at night it appears to be a warm gold.
  • The one color Seebach used to tie everything together in his home is a rich Roman gold found in the throw pillows on the bed, on the walls in the bedroom and even on the molding, which he antiqued and gold leafed himself.
