The mahogany vanity with its notched out marble countertop and Victorian faucets has the look and feel of a luxury London hotel.
  • The stately bedroom features 12-foot ceilings, which are painted a soft yellow to complement the gold walls.
  • Dark wood antiques and reproductions and large pieces of artwork enhance the traditional look.
  • The color palette is vivid, taking its cue from the intensely colored floral chintz textiles used for curtains, upholstery and bed linens. The walls are covered with golden damask wallpaper, and the gold and white wool rug is a traditional English needlepoint.
  • The relatively small bath doesn't feel cramped because a minimum of colors and materials were used. The counter, floors, tub deck and shower surround are all black and white marble. The vanity and panels surrounding the tub are dark mahogany. Natural light pours in through a huge window over the tub, and the glass shower enclosure continues the open feeling.
  • The oval shape is repeated throughout the bath in the soaking tub, vanity sinks and toilet shape.
  • The bathroom ceiling is painted a soft blue and adorned with a delicate Italian-made chandelier.
