Host Joan Kohn visits the classically beautiful master suite of designer Clara Barrett, who built a Georgian Colonial on the oceanfront. Every bedroom in the large home takes advantage of the wonderful views. The master suite is approached up a broad, circular staircase and entered through elegant French doors. The exceptionally large room is divided into the sleeping area and a spacious seating area.

The all-white bathroom is a relaxing retreat with a large shower, soaking tub and comfortable seating area.

The dressing area has an ornate mirror and a comfortable chair.
  • The walls of the bedroom are painted and glazed a soft blue, the color of the sky. Woodwork is painted white, and the floors, a rich deep brown, are left uncovered by any rugs or carpeting.
  • The four-poster bed is a custom design, made from mahogany with handpainted ornamentation.
  • The short cabinet at the foot of the bed houses a TV, which rises from the top of the cabinet when in use and recesses when it isn't.
  • The seating area, furnished with two large, comfortable chairs and a sofa, has a fireplace as its focal point.
  • The white bathroom has an extra-deep soaking tub and huge shower with a rain head showerhead.
