Bring the outdoors in by using topiary forms to hold display shelves. They add architectural interest and storage to any room.

Fill a topiary rack with towels, soaps and scrubbers to turn any bath into a spa.
Topiary Shelf Unit

Materials:

2 topiary forms
steel wool
clear varnish
scrap wood
enamel paint
wood staples
hammer

Steps:

  1. Clean the topiary forms lightly with steel wool to remove dust or dirt. Apply varnish to seal them and let dry.
  2. Cut scrap wood to fit in the topiary openings as shelves, adding a one-inch overhang on each end. Paint the shelves as desired and let dry.
  3. Hammer two staples on each end from below to secure the shelves to the corresponding topiary rails.

Topiary Towel Rack

Materials:

base (a square flower pot is featured)
topiary form
enamel paint
floral foam (oasis)
epoxy
rocks
towels/bath items (sponges, soaps, scrubbers, etc .)

Steps:

  1. Paint the base and topiary form as desired and allow to dry.
  2. Glue floral foam into the base until it's almost full to prevent the topiary from shifting. Push the topiary firmly into the foam. Fill the remainder of the base with rocks.
  3. Drape towels over the topiary rails and accessorize the base with bath items .
