Steps up to the small corner tub make it look larger and easier to reach.

Host Joan Kohn visits the home of French builder Yves Fedrigault and his wife, Sally . They built a home overlooking the Potomac River reminiscent of Yves' childhood home in France. The stone for the exterior was ordered from France, and the entry was patterned off a 13th-century home Yves admired. Heart pine flooring in the master bedroom set the tone of rustic warmth that was matched with pine dressers and a pine sleigh bed. In the bath, an Old World garden feel was the goal, achieved with extensive use of tumbled marble, hand-painted border tiles from Mexico and lots of plants. A smaller, angled tub, which fit both space and budget, is entered from steps that make the tub look larger and make entry easier. Mirrored medicine cabinets were framed with wood like an old picture to soften their look.
