Steps:

1. Turn off water, disconnect lines and remove old sink. Remove drain stopper assembly (figure A).

2. Use an adjustable wrench to remove retaining nuts and take old faucet off sink (figure B).

3. Remove the drainpipe or tailpiece by holding it steady with a wrench while unscrewing the retaining nut (figure C).

4. Reverse the process to mount the faucet on the new sink. Roll out a bead of plumber's putty and press along the drainpipe collar and the underside of the faucet (figure D).

5. Drop parts into place. Make sure the drainpipe is turned so the openings face toward the faucet. Wrap threads of faucet and drain with plumber's tape. Install new washer for drainpipe. Rub a bit of petroleum jelly on washer to make it easier to slide over the pipe (figure E).

6. Slide on friction washer and tighten retaining nuts for drainpipe and faucet assembly.

7. Replace stopper mechanism and reconnect water supply lines. Lay the sink upside down and run a bead of plumber's putty along the perimeter (figure F).

8. Carefully lower the sink into the vanity. Secure by running screws through the retaining clips into the underside of the vanity.

9. Connect water supply lines to the valves under the sink and install drain assembly. Trim away excess plumber's putty from around faucet, sink perimeter and drainpipe using a utility knife (figure G).

10. Turn on water and test the installation.
