Materials:

card stock (rust fleck, tan, white, black, yellow, lime green, brown craft)
AccuCut green grass die cut
5/8" green letter stickers
2 tan eyelets
1" white tassel
white cotton crochet thread
Pop-Dots
brown marker
black pen
deckle scissors
circle punches*
2-way glue
eyelet punch
eyelet setter
eyelet pad
hammer (small)

* 1/8" eyes, 1/4" eyes & ears, 5/16" nose, eyes & ears, 1" head & face, 1-5/8" body

Steps:

1. Cut out all pieces shown in figure A.

2. Attach all background elements to the page.

3. Determine where eyelets are to be placed on monkey pieces.

4. Punch holes using the eyelet punch and set eyelets (figure B). Tip: Install eyelets on a hard surface (figure C).

5. Thread cotton crochet thread through the holes. Tie in an overhand knot (will show) 1 inch below the eyelets (figure D).

6. Bring thread ends together and secure with overhand knot (see page 9 if you have the book).

7. Glue pennies or washers to ends of arms so they will go back to original position after being pulled (figure E).

8. Attach the monkey to the prepared page.

9. Place a tree in front of the monkey and add other finishing touches to the page.
