Carol Duvall's Home

Special Presentation : Episode CDC-S -- More Projects »
Carol Duvall's original home in Michigan was a small log cabin just a few doors away from her current home. She decorates her home with, among other things, family photos made into coasters, cards for presents, and ornaments. Her son and daughter-in-law make ceramic ornaments.

Host Carol Duvall decorates her Michigan home with special family photos and decor. This miniature cabin was given to Carol by her daughter-in-law, Rita. It was constructed by Rita's uncle.

During the holidays, Carol replaces her usual wall decor with photo collages of family holiday pictures.

Carol also uses photographs to make cork-backed coasters for the holidays. Holiday card art can be recycled in this way, also. Visit episode CDS-360 to learn how to make these coasters.

Carol makes copies of family heirloom photos to use as gift tags on packages. This is a picture of her son at a year old.

Photographs also adorn the tree in Carol's home. She makes these by pasting photocopies of pictures to circles of acetate, rolling up the acetate and positioning it inside of a clear glass ornament. Visit CDW-304 for step-by-step instructions on this project.

Carol's daughter-in-law Rita made this ceramic ornament in 1976.
