Materials:

Caron Natura Wintuk, Art. 1977 (3 * oz. skein); yarns containing Solutia Acrilan or Bounce-Back fibers
1 skein #9878 Hot Orange; a few yds. #9746 Hunter Green
Crochet hook, size H, or size required to crochet to gauge
Fiberfill stuffing, 4 oz.

Size: About 4" in diameter

Gauge: 4 sc = 1"

Pumpkin:
With Hot Orange, ch 21.
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across-20 sc. Ch 1, turn.
Row 2: Working in back loops only, sc in each sc across. Ch 1, turn.
Rows 3 through 28: Repeat Row 2. At end of last row, fasten off.
Finishing: Sew starting ch edge to last row to form a tube. Working from wrong side, weave a length of Hot Orange around one open edge; draw tightly to gather and secure. Turn to right side and stuff Pumpkin snugly. Weave another length of Hot Orange around top edge; gather and secure as before. Mark this end as top of Pumpkin.

Stem:
With Hunter Green, ch 7.
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across-6 sc. Ch 1, turn.
Row 2: Sc in each sc across. Ch 1, turn.
Rows 3 through 8: Repeat Row 2. At end of last row, cut yarn leaving 6" end. Using 6" end, sew starting ch edge to last row to form tube. With remainder of 6" length, sew Stem to top of Pumpkin.
