"Stained Glass" Painted Fish Bowl With Votive

Materials:

small glass bowl
"stained glass" paint: blue, silver glitter, yellow, plum, green moss, brown
styrene blank
liquid leading
fish and seaweed stencils
paintbrush
votive candle

1. Put the stencil under the styrene blank and trace the outline of the fish and seaweed with liquid leading (figure A). Let dry.

2. Color in the fish using yellow and plum stained glass paint and color in the seaweed with green moss and brown stained glass paint (figure B).

3. After these have completely dried, about 12 hours, peel shapes off the styrene blank and stick them on the glass bowl (figure C).

4. Paint the background by mixing blue stained glass paint with silver glitter and use a paintbrush to apply the paint, giving it a textured effect (figure D). Paint brown at the bottom to represent sand. Let dry completely, about 24 hours.

5. When dry the paint will be transparent like stained glass. Place a votive candle inside and light it for an adorable glowing fish bowl.
