Steps:

1. Prepare two copies of your pattern/design. Mark grain lines on pattern.

2. Cut one copy for box top (figure A).

3. Trim outer edge of the second copy for box top (figure B).

4. Adhere pattern pieces to glass. Cut out pieces (figure C).

5. Measure and cut glass for box sides. Measure and cut glass for box bottom.

6. Remove chips/protrusions with pliers (figure D). Smooth edges with grinder.

7. Stretch lead came. Tape box top pattern to work board and arrange glass pieces. Place lead between glass pieces (figure E).

8. Use right angle to assemble box sides (figure F). Position top panel and hold in place with rubber bands (figure G).

9. Place box on front side and position hinges (figure H). Tape in place, leaving one exposed edge.

10. Apply flux to hinge and solder in place. Remove tape and solder other end of hinge.

11. Place box bottom up and attach feet to box corners. Tape to hold in place and solder to secure.

Tips: Rub lead and joints with steel wool to smooth and make the lead gleam. Clean box with soap and water when finished.
