The Carol Duvall Show cameras focus on Yoshinori ("Grandpa" Yoshi) Takao. Takao was born in the United States, but moved to Japan for his schooling. He returned to the U.S. after graduating, eventually owning three restaurants. After retiring, Takao began studying stained glass. He turned out to be an exceptional and dedicated student.

In just two years of working with glass, Takao has become a well-respected artist, who gets requests for his art from all across the U.S., and as far away as Japan. Much of Takao's work is in a very distinctive style based on translating Asian block prints into stained glass. Visit the Aanraku Web site to see a gallery of Takao's work.
