Glass Boxes

The Carol Duvall Show camera crew visits stained-glass artist Patti Gutowski as she makes glass jewelry boxes with dried botanicals encased in the lids. Gutowski builds the walls of the glass boxes using copper foil adhesive tape, then seals the sides with solder. Patti secures the box lid by soldering it on to the box using copper wire hinges, then restores the copper color of the tape by applying copper sulfate.
