13. The piece is cooled to 1000-degrees and water is dropped onto the jack-line. A heavy piece of wood is used to strike the metal punty, so that the sculpture detaches from the rod. The sculpture rests on a sheet of white fiber frax insulation, which will not stick to the glass.
