The computer-generated cards demonstrated today were made using a program called Colored Impressions. All of the detailed instructions and materials needed are given on the CD. The basic steps are as follows:
  1. Select the images you wish to print and emboss and purchase the matching metal stencils.
  2. Select a heavy weight paper or good card stock. Print out design or combinations of designs in selected colors.
  3. Place printout over a light box or other light source and emboss the print out where desired.
  4. Cut, score and fold card.

Tips & Suggestions:
  • Start the embossing using the large end of the burnishing tool and finish with the smaller end to fill in any details.
  • Dark colors do not show up as being embossed as distinctively as do lighter colors or no color at all
  • It is not necessary to purchase stencils and emboss every part of the selected designs. Embossing only select portions can be very effective.
