In a fast-moving marketplace filled with technical innovations, painting companies are bound to come up with some resourceful ideas, such as DecoArt's latest invention--patio paint. This product can be used on concrete, terra cotta, wood and any other outdoor rough surfaces, including rocks.
At the Creative Painting Convention, DecoArt representative Teri Stillwaugh demonstrated the versatility of patio paint by applying it to a concrete statuary piece. She indicated that such surfaces should be cleaned first, and that an inexpensive brush and household sponges are the only painting tools necessary. For best results on concrete/stone surfaces, she emphasized that the room or air temperature should be 50 degrees or above, and that the paint should be left to dry for at least five hours. Wood pieces, however, dry in approximately 15 minutes. With its adaptability and ease of use, patio paint is sure to be a hit among artists who work with a variety of media.
