decorative-edge scissors and sharp pair of regular scissors
tweezers
long-handled lighter

Steps:
1 Trace just the front of the packet template onto balsa wood and cut out with a craft knife (figure A). Drill holes around the wood piece (figure B), cut the flap off and set aside. Sand all edges until smooth.
2. Paint both sides of the wood and one side of the flap only and allow to dry (figure C).
3. Stamp the daisy stamp onto the copper sheet. Use decorative-edge scissors to cut out the square daisy patch. Cut out a 1" x 3" piece of copper with decorative-edge scissors and set aside.
4. With a stylus, trace over the daisy image on the copper (figure D) (just the flower, not the words). For the center of the daisy, make groups of small pokes.
5. With sharp scissors, cut the sides of some of the leaves on the daisy and shape them up to create a three-demensional look (figure E). On the 1" x 3" piece of copper write the date with a black Sharpie pen (figure F).
6. Holding the copper daisy with a tweezer, sweep the lighter back and forth across the copper until you begin. Make sure not to leave the flame near the copper for too long, or the color will disappear permanently.
7. Lace twine around the packet holes drilled previously (figure G) and glue a small acrylic sheet to fit the window on the inside of cut-out balsa wood.
8. Glue the top half of the daisy seed packet to the back side of the balsa wood so that it shows through the window (figure H). Glue the copper daisy to the front of the packet just below the window and the date planted sign. Glue the painted flap onto the top back of the wood to cover up the printed paper seed packet. Glue the plant stick onto the center of the back of the wood packet.
8. Tie a twine and some raffia onto the plant stick just below the wood packet.
