Project designed by Debra Anderson.
Materials:
tree stamp
clear embossing ink
white card stock
Winter Wonderland embossing powder
Tinsel embossing powder - gold
white liquid applique
Crystal ultra fine glitter
Pop Dots
heat gun
Steps:
1. Cut three different sizes of white card stock into 8-1/2" x 11", 4" x 7" and 3" x 6" pieces. Fold the largest piece of paper in half.
2. Ink the tree stamp in slow drying, clear ink. Stamp the tree three times, re-inking the stamp each time.
3. Sprinkle gold tinsel embossing powder carefully down the center of each tree with a small teaspoon (figure A).
4. Sprinkle Winter Wonderland embossing powder over all areas that didn't get covered by the gold Tinsel powder. Create the look of a snow-covered tree-top by sprinkling Winter Wonderland embossing powder to form the tree top shape (figure B).
5. Heat the powder with a heat gun.
6. To give the look of a snow covered ground, squeeze out a small amount of white liquid applique in a slightly curved line under each tree (figure C).
7. Sprinkle crystal glitter onto wet liquid applique.
8. Heat the applique until it puffs up.
9. Using double-sided tape, adhere the middle-sized card to the larger, folded card. Put pop dots on the back of the stamped card and adhere it to the middle-sized card.
Leaf border with tree stamp
Materials:
card stock
green, dye-based ink
burgundy, dye-based ink
gold metallic ink
eggplant, dye-based ink
Post-it notes
small maple leaf stamp
small oak leaf stamp
small aspen leaf stamp
tree stamp
"Thank You" stamp
double-sided adhesive
Steps:
1. Place two long Post-it notes on the card, leaving approximately 1-1/2 inches of card between them. The Post-it notes should be parallel to each other.
2. Ink a small maple leaf stamp with dye-based ink and stamp the image on the center card three times without re-inking it between stamping. Repeat many times, making sure to stamp over the edges of the Post-it notes (figure D).
3. Repeat step 2, but use the small oak leaf stamp and burgundy ink.
4. Repeat the same step one more time, but use the small aspen leaf and an eggplant inkpad. Fill all the empty spaces with the last stamp (figure E).
5. Add a bit of shimmer to the card by stamping any one of the three leaf stamps in a gold metallic ink pad and stamping the leaf sparingly over the other stamped leaves.
6. Pull off the Post-it notes.
7. Stamp the tree stamp on the remaining space with the green ink, then stamp the "Thank You" stamp below the tree in burgundy ink (figure F).
8. Layer the card onto dark green card stock using double-sided adhesive.
