14" x 18" piece of red felt
red felt circle cut 5-1/4 inches in diamete
white cardboard
14-inch length of one-inch wide red grosgrain ribbon
white cording

1. Draw and cut a pattern shown in ( figure A) for the bag's cuff. Position the 14" x 18" piece of felt vertically on the work surface and trace the top edge of the pattern along the top of the felt piece. Cut along the traced line to create the shape of the cuff.

8. Sew the felt circular bottom onto the casing.

9. Turn the casing right-side out and turn the cuff down.

10. Cut out Santa's face, beard and hat from felt (figure G) and sew them together. Hand stitch the eyes with black thread (figure H).
