Guest Jeen Brown makes a lovely stitched tag album from a Wimpole Street Creations kit.

Materials:
"Hot Designs" (from "Fall" 6"x12" package) - Fall leaves border, one cut out leaf, pumpkin oval, leaves frame, leaves rectangle
dressmaker’s ribbon – 12" length of gold, 25" length of olive, 24" length of bronze
chenille - 9" x 1/2" piece of pumpkin, 9" x 1/2" piece of natural, 10" x 5" piece of natural scrim
2" tea-dyed linen square
buttons - two round brown, two round orange, two square brown, one large wooden, one flower shell, two metal stars
knits - natural mini sweater, natural mini hat
one bronze safety pin
three metallic beads – green & bronze
needle
wooden stick
brown and ivory floss
text printed on vellum

Steps:

Top Outside Flap (8-1/4" x 2")
1. Tear the 8-1/4" x 2" sunflower paper along the top.

2. Tear out "Harvesting Memories" from the vellum sheet.

3. Attach "Harvesting Memories" on top of sunflower accent piece.

4. Attach this piece to the top piece of the basic tag album, gluing on top (Figure A).

5. Stack and sew an orange and brown button together, and glue to each end of the "Hot Designs" autumn border. Attach this border to the top piece, wrapping it around to the back (Figure B). Option -You may also attach this piece by sewing it in place with the buttons.

6. Center and sew one square brown button to the bottom of the flap with brown floss. Leave approximately four inches of floss to use as a tie (Figure C).

7. Curl the wire ends of the stars around a wooden stick (Figure D). Attach one star to the top piece (Figure E).

Right Outside Piece (6-3/4" x 3-1/4")
1. Cut or tear "When the gold branches bid" from the vellum sheet.

2. Attach to the center of the 3"x1-1/4" sunflower paper and trim to fit inside the 3"x1-½" brown paper. Glue to the tag.

3. Thread the gold dressmaker’s ribbon through the tag and attach to the natural chenille strip. Tie into a bow.

4. Glue the chenille strip with tag to the left side (Figure F).

5. Embroider designs on the knit hat (Figure G) and sweater and glue in place (Figure H).

Bottom Inside Piece (8-1/4" x 4-1/4")
1. Cut three, eight-inch pieces of bronze dressmaker’s ribbon.

2. Tie the ribbon to the chenille and then attach to the bottom piece (Figure I).

Bottom Outside Piece
1. Fit scrim to bottom outside and glue in place.

2. Tear the 8-1/4" x 3" brown paper and glue on top of scrim.

3. Cut around "Hot Designs" autumn pumpkins and tatter (fray) edges. Attach to the left corner.

4. Tear out "Pick of the Patch" from the vellum and attach to the right corner (Figure J).

Left Inside Piece (5" x 6-3/4")
1. Attach the pocket pieces together and glue to the bottom center of the piece.

2. Pin the safety pin with beads and chenille scraps to the "Hot Designs" autumn tag. Attach to the bottom of the pocket.

3. Fold the 8-½"x2-½" Oatmeal paper strip accordion style in to four sections. Clip together with the metal star and insert into the pocket.

4. Sew the shell and wooden buttons together onto the brown tag.

5. Thread the green ribbon through the tag, tie and insert it into the pocket (Figure K).

Left Outside Piece
1. Cut out the text section of vellum to fit 1/2" inside of the left outside piece. Tear the vellum diagonally and attach to the outer corners of the section.

2. Tear out "Fall" from the vellum and attach to the bottom right corner.

3. Sew one brown square button approximately two inches up from bottom. Align it with the button on the top flap so they can loop together.
4. Cut and tatter the tea-dyed linen square. (Use a needle to help fray the edges.) Cut off the bottom right corner to allow your pictures on top to lie flat. Attach to the upper left corner.

5. Attach the slide frame on top (Figure L).

Back Inside Piece (8-1/4" x 6-3/4")
1. Tear out "Dancing Leaves..." from the vellum and attach to the upper left of back inside.

2. Attach the "Hot Designs" autumn frame over the lower portion of the text.

3. Tatter the "Hot Designs" autumn leaf and attach to the small brown tag.

4. Loop the green dressmaker’s ribbon through the tag tie into a knot or bow. Attach the tag to the upper right section.

5. Tear out "Piles of leaves" and attach to the lower right corner (Figure M).
