Chris started scrapbooking three years ago when she was pregnant with her daughter. She was strolling through a craft store, saw some scrapbooking materials, and thought it looked like a good way to preserve memories of her pregnancy and her daughter's growth. Now her scrapbooking has evolved into her very own unique style. In this project, Chris makes two layouts--one scrapbook page will focus on tinting a black and white photo with photo painting pencils and making torn-paper layered flower accents; the other page will focus on making a stained-glass effect flower accent using acrylic paints, clipart and transparencies.

Steps:
Stained Glass Flower Page
1. Import clip art into photo editing program. Remove any color in clip art to create just the black outline of the picture. Resize clip art flower to various sizes.
2. Put all clip art sizes on one new document. Print out on transparency and let dry.
3. Paint on back of transparency with acrylic paints and let dry.
4. Seal with decoupage glue and let dry.
5. Accent center of flowers with Diamond Glaze and let dry.
6. Ink edges of 12" x 12" card stock and edges of mats with black ink. Triple mat one 4" x 6" photo.
7. Create title block by stamping the word "relax" on card stock.
8. Cut out other card stock shape accents (rectangle under title block and one long 12-inch strip).
9. Tape down matted photo in upper right corner of page. Tape down card stock strips and title block.
10. Cut out dried "stained glass" transparency flowers. Glue flowers in place with Diamond Glaze.
11. Print out label subtitle and adhere.
Torn Paper Flower and Tinted Photo Page
1. Draw a five-petal flower in three different sizes on the back of card stock. Repeat this on two different hues of pink and two different hues of green.
2. Tear out flowers (very loose and rough). Ink edges of flowers with Distress Ink.
3. Layer three different-sized flowers on top of one another, sticking in center back with photo squares or glue dots.
4. Curl up edges of flowers by hand to create a 3-D effect. Adhere a coordinating button in the center of each flower.
5. Rub black and white matte photo (5" x 7") with PM solution. Color with pencils in desired locations. Rub colored areas with cotton to smooth out. Let dry overnight.
6. Double mat photo on card stock. Adhere matted photo on 12" x 12" card stock in center of page.
7. Add a ribbon border on top and left side of paper.
8. Adhere three torn paper flowers in three sizes in grouping on right lower corner of photo. Adhere one torn paper flower in upper left corner where ribbons cross.
9. Stamp the title or child's name vertically down right side of photo with foam stamps.
