Quilting expert Alex Anderson has this advice for deciding which batting is best for your quilt:

  • Read manufacturer’s recommendations for hand or machine quilting and quilting intervals.

  • To remove fold lines from packaged batting, completely unroll batting and place it in your dryer on the lowest setting for no more than five minutes.
