Materials:

Delta Renaissance foil kit (includes base coat, adhesive and sealer)
paper mache box
acid-free paper paint or gold acrylic paint
Delta antiquing kit
Delta Quick & Tacky glue
embellishments: charms, coins, cording, bamboo sticks

Steps:

  1. Paint the inside of the paper mache box with gold acrylic paper paint.
  2. Paint the outside of the box with a base coat of your choice.
  3. Apply adhesive and dry to "sticky" stage until it is no longer looks milky.
  4. Apply foil, shiny side up, and press onto adhesive. Gently pull off.
  5. For an antique look, allow some of the base coat to show through, then apply the antiquing medium over the entire surface. Wipe off excess with a cloth.
  6. Apply sealer and allow to dry.
  7. To embellish, glue a large coin to the top of the box. Wrap a bamboo stick with gold cording. Unravel the edge of the cord and glue the stick to the box.
