Figure C
Host Renai Ellison creates a scenic 3-D postcard framed display. The finished pieces look great hanging on a wall or displayed on stands on a side table.

Materials:

any number of postcards
foam core
crafter's glue
scissors

Steps:

  1. Choose a theme or images to be combined. The example contains images of three different backgrounds: a coral reef, deep sea and an ocean liner.

  2. Cut out the various items and attach foam core to the back of each image with glue. Next, glue the image onto the base postcard, which in this case is the deep sea (figure A). The "bon voyage" and ocean liner have been glued to the surface.

  3. Be sure to cut the images carefully, capturing all the little intricacies of the shapes (figure B). Take into consideration how the foam core will attach to the image.

  4. Once you are done playing and constructing, arrive at a total scene that you are content with and select a frame for it.

  5. Attach the images with crafters glue onto the frame (figure C).
