Steps:

1. Paint both sides of white card stock with Iridescent Accents, blending with a sponge or fingers to achieve the desired "flower" colors. Set aside to dry.

2. On the cutting mat, tape down two 1/8" x 6" strips of white Kromekote card stock along two parallel lines, approximately one inch apart. These will be the back support for the fence.

3. Punch 12 fence pickets out of the Kromekote and glue them, one at a time, to the supports using the vertical lines on the cutting mat to insure uniform placement. When constructing a gate, remember to place the pickets on either side, close to the gate. Place a picket diagonally across the front of the gate. Create the gate handle using a squiggle punch. Make the finial on top of the gate posts using a 1/8-inch circle punch.

4. Cut a few narrow strips of green card stock to resemble flower stems. Remove the tape holding the fence and turn the fence upside down. Apply glue to the back of the horizontal fence supports and place them on the front of the card, positioning the green stems behind them. Do not glue the stems down in order to vary the lengths later if needed. Do not glue the pickets to the card in order to place the leaves/flowers behind.

5. To create a flowerpot, punch three pots and cut the bottom off of two of them. Layer the rims to give depth. Shape the flower pot by rolling it around a pen or pencil. Cut three narrow tabs and fold in half (figure A). Glue one half of each tab to the sides of the rim and one at the bottom. Roll a small amount of air dry clay and place it on the inside to provide support.

6. Punch flowers from the painted card stock. To shape the flowers, place them on a carving eraser and push down firmly with the ball of a stylus. When layering the flowers, glue them together first and then shape them using the eraser (figure B).

7. For the flowers in the pot, use the craft daisy punch and cut a notch at the point of each leaf, using the deckle edge scissors. For the center of the flower, cut a daisy from the three-in-one flower corner punch (figure C). To create a fern for the pot, use the smallest tree from the giant tree punch.

8. Create ivy using the leaf from the two-in-one leaf/butterfly punch and a variety of shades of green card stock. Tuck various leaf shapes behind the fence pickets.

10. Add details such as an inviting path using part of the rope punch. Our friendly dragonfly was punched twice, once out of blue vellum and once out of silver text weight paper. Cut the wings off the silver and layer it over the vellum. Glue only the body to the card and lift the wings slightly.

Tip: When creating dimensional paper art, use glue that has very little water, dries clear quickly and remains flexible so the flowers do not pop off of the card.
