Figure D
Project designed by Suze Weinberg.

Materials:

blank 5-1/2" x 4-1/4" card
stamps
stamping ink
pencil/and or fine line marker
scissors
ruler
tweezers
5-1/2" x 4-1/4" piece of clear acetate
1/2-inch thick, 5-1/2" x 4-1/4" card stock frame
3/8-inch Wonder Tape or doulbe-sided tape
3/8-inch foam, self-stick weatherstrip
confetti and/or glitter
water
Seal-A-Meal bags

Steps:

1. Stamp the card with stamps of your choice. Decorate with glitter glue, embossing, etc. Let dry.

2. Lay the stamped card face up onto the Seal-A-Meal bag, placing one or more sides against the factory-sealed edge(s). Trace the card outline onto the bag, allowing space at the edges. Set card aside for later.

3. Seal the bag on three sides, leaving one open side.

4. Fill the open side of the bag with a few teaspoons of water. Do not overfill the bag or it will not lay properly when finished. Add glitter or confetti to the water if desired (figure A).

5. Test the bag seals thoroughly for leaks.

6. Press the sticky side of the weather stripping to the border edges of the stamped card (figure B).

7. Apply 3/8 inch of Wonder Tape to the top of the weather stripping and lay the water bag onto the double-sided tape (figure C). Trim away any excess bag sticking out past the edges of the card.

8. Apply 3/8 inch of Wonder Tape to the top of water bag and lay acetate on top . This prevents holes in the bag.

9. Apply 3/8 inch of Wonder Tape to the acetate and adhere it to the frame. Place the frame on top of the water card to cover all the taping and layers (figure D).
