Figure A
Project designed by Suze Weinberg.

Materials:

waxed household freezer paper
Liquid Applique
soft rubber brayer
heat gun
rubber stamps
cleaning supplies
note card
dark ink pad (preferably not pigment)
sponges

Steps:

1. Squeeze Liquid Applique color onto waxed side of freezer paper.

2. Roll brayer into Liquid Applique, coating it thoroughly.

3. Roll the Liquid Applique onto a matte-finish note card, creating a nice, even layer of color. For a slightly different texture, use a sponge to apply color to the card.

4. Clean brayer immediately.

5. Heat with heat gun so the applique begins to look "fuzzy," almost like leather or suede. Don't be alarmed if the color lightens when heated.

6. Stamp on faux "leather" surface with a dark ink. Heat set the ink.

7. Re-ink the brayer or sponge with a different color of Liquid Applique applying it directly to the rubber side of the stamp.

8. Press the stamp onto the card surface then heat with heat gun (figure A) .

9. For an added touch, embellish with another rubber stamp design.
