Project designed by Sandi Genovese.
Materials:
Ellison envelope #3 die or scissors
cardstock-weight paper, any color
sticker or craft punch
acid-free adhesive
18-inch length of 1/4-inch wide ribbon
Steps:
Card
- Cut the envelope from paper using the Ellison envelope #3 die or scissors.
- Decorate the inside of the envelope using photographs, stickers or a message.
- Fold along the perforations and seal using a sticker or craft punch with adhesive.
- Use the envelope as both card and envelope. Address the back side of the envelope and mail. It requires an extra 11 cents postage because of the size.
Scrapbook Page
- Follow steps 1 and 2 above.
- Fold along the perforations.
- Using a hole punch, cut two holes on the left and right flaps to allow you to position the length of ribbon behind. Thread the ribbon through the holes, fold the envelope, and tie ribbon in a bow. The whole envelope is then affixed to the page, allowing you to hide a photo or memento until opened.
Tip: If you use page protectors, slide the completed page into a top-loading page protector. Use a craft knife to cut the page protector around the sides and bottom of the envelope leaving the top intact.
