Steps:

1. Remove center from Mini Mat frame shape and place on Hot Sheet in skillet set on medium-high heat.

2. Spoon clear embossing powder over frame (figure A) and let melt.

3. Add verdigris and copper embossing powders (figure B) and let melt.

4. Place selected summer leaves stamps on acrylic handle. Pre-ink stamp with burnt sienna ink.

5. Use stylus tool to scoot mat piece across Hot Sheet to clean edges (figure C). Use spatula to remove Hot Sheet with frame from pan. Immediately place pre-inked stamp into molten surface to create a "fossil" look (figure D). Let cool before removing stamp.

6. Use a craft knife to remove excess melted powder from inside oval on frame (figure E).

7. To smooth any rough edges on frame, place Hot Sheet back in skillet and lightly rub edges of frame against Hot Sheet until smooth.

8. Repeat for additional Mini Mat embellishment shapes.

9. Paint inside of box with acrylic paint. Let dry.

10. Brush sides and top of box with copper ink and dust with bands of sand, verdigris and copper embossing powders. Use heat tool to melt (figure F).

11. Brush skeleton leaves with copper ink and dust with copper embossing powder. Use heat tool to melt (figure G).

12. Adhere photo to back of frame with adhesive (figure H).

13. Adhere Mini Mat fossil shapes, Magic Mesh scrap and skeleton leaves as desired on box using heavy-duty adhesive (figure I).

14. Adhere focal point fossil frame to box with double-sided foam adhesive.
