Materials:

paper mache box
Decor It ink - black
vellum paper
Color It pigment ink pad - metallic
toothpick
Adirondack embossing powders in assorted colors
Heat It embossing tool

Steps:

1. Paint the box with the black Decor It ink, and set it aside to dry.
2. Ink the vellum sheet with the metallic Color It ink.
3. Pour the powders in small mounds onto the inked vellum.
4. Use a toothpick to drag through the colors, causing them to mix (figure A).
5. Heat the powders with the embossing tool.
6. When the powders are fully melted, tilt the paper to create veins or a webbing effect (figure B).
7. Wait a few minutes for the powder to cool then peel off the paper, and crack it into different-sized pieces.
8. Place the pieces on top of the box in the desired pattern then heat them with the craft tool (figure C).
