Make easy work of creating inexpensive art by painting stretched canvas squares and decorating them with stencil designs.

Stenciling expert Cynthia Willoughby tells how to make wall art by stenciling canvas.

Materials:

stretched canvas in the desired size (available at most craft stores)
latex wall paint
stencil design
flat-bottom stencil brush

Steps:

1. Paint the canvas with latex wall paint and let dry completely.

2. Center a stencil design and apply paint in a circular motion with a flat-bottom stencil brush.
