Guest Pat Desantis assembles cute little snowmen by stinging together stiffened felt with colorful buttons or chips. The end result is a garland that can be used as a festive holiday decoration for a tree, door, or just about anywhere you want to advertise some holiday spirit.

Materials
For 5 Snowmen:
green cord, 1-1/3 yd., Wright's
red cord, 1-1/3 yd., Wright's
striped cord, 3-1/3 yd., Wright's
red ribbon, 1-1/2 yd., Wright's
white guimpe braid, 4 1/2 yd., Wright's
1 sheet 12" x 9" EZ Felt, black, CPE
2 sheets 12" x 18" EZ Felt, white, CPE

Steps
  1. Trace hat pattern onto black felt. Cut five pieces (figure A).
  2. Trace snowman pattern on white felt. Cut five pieces.
  3. Cut 25 black dots from felt using paper punch. Glue in place for buttons and eyes (figure B).
  4. Starting at top of head, glue white braid around entire outer edge of snowman.
  5. Cut four 12-inch pieces of each cord. Set aside remainder of striped cord.
Hint: Tape the ends of the cord and cut through the tape to prevent fraying.
  6. Coil and glue each 12-inch length of cord to create "candies." Finish by gluing tape end under coil.
  7. Glue black felt hat to snowmen over white braid ends.
  8. Arrange snowmen and "candies" over remaining pieces of striped cord. Glue.
