aluminum foil
water-soluble white glue

Gold Blush Abaca ribbon
dried rose petals
aluminum foil
water-soluble white glue
small sponge brush

Steps:

  1. Place gold blush abaca ribbon on foil.
  2. Sponge brush white glue onto ribbon.
  3. Sprinkle glue covered ribbon with dried rose petals and allow to dry overnight.

Rosebuds on Savanah Ribbon

Materials:

"Ruby Red" rose heads #00397 - use approximately seven rose heads per yard of ribbon and twice as many miniature roses
"Red" miniature roses - discontinued, use any miniature roses
Savanah ribbon
aluminum foil
water-soluble white glue
small sponge brush

Steps:

  1. Place Savanah ribbon on the foil.
  2. Sponge brush white glue onto ribbon.
  3. Place rose heads approximately 5" apart, turning all the rose heads in the same direction.
  4. Space three miniature roses evenly between the rose heads, keeping them all in the same direction as the rose heads.
  5. Allow to dry overnight.
Tip: This makes a beautiful ribbon to use as a hatband or to wind through a garden-theme gift basket.

Parrot Plumage

Materials:

bird feathers - As many as you can gather. Featured feathers were molted by Loose Ends office parrot Roscoe.
Banana Wrap ribbon
aluminum foil
water-soluble white glue
small sponge brush

Steps:

  1. Place Banana Wrap ribbon on foil.
  2. Clip spine end of feathers so they're all reasonably the same size.
  3. Dip spine end of the feather into glue then spread a bit of glue down part of the back of the feather.
  4. Beginning at the finished end of the ribbon, place feather in a row and continue the rows up the ribbon, filling in the spaces as you go (somewhat like shingling). Continue until the ribbon is desired length or until you run out of feathers.
  5. Allow to dry overnight.
