Dreidel box top pattern (fig. A).

Materials:

one gift box (shirt size)
1/3 yard fabric
silver rickrack
silver E-loop trim
four-inch peg
silver paint
glue and glue gun
double-sided tape

Steps:

1. Cut out a shape for top of box (figure A).

2. Cut out shape for bottom of box (figure B).

3. Score on the lines indicated on pattern. Tip: scoring is always done on the side opposite where it is to be folded.

4. Cover pieces with fabric, leaving extra where indicated for tabs (figures C and D).

5. Fold all pieces together on scored lines and glue all tabs over to hold together.

6. Cover over all raw edges of fabric with rickrack.

7. Cut off part of peg at the line, and coat with a silver paint.

8. Cut hole in top of box.

9. Slip peg through the hole, glue rounded edge to inside of box.

10. Glue trim around peg and hole to cover any messy glue or raw edges (figure E).

Enjoy this box as a decoration or give a gift in it.
