Materials (figure A):

adult-size, long white tube sock
canning lid
3/4 cup uncooked rice
fiberfill
strip of cloth
rubber band
permanent marker
craft tacky glue

Steps:

1. Turn a the white tube sock inside out.

2. Place a canning lid (gold side down) in bottom of sock.

3. Put 3/4- cup of uncooked rice on top of the canning lid in the sock to give the snowman needed weight to make him stand.

4. Place a ball of fiberfill on top of rice for the body. Press down well to make it join well with the rice.

5. Place another ball of fiberfill (a little smaller) on top of the first ball for the head. This should leave a small indentation that indicates where to place the scarf.

6. Wrap a rubber band around the sock at the top of the head.
