Materials:

clear, round, snap-together plastic ornament
tin snips
drill
round bead
thick decorative cord
potting soil
small plants
Super glue
level

Steps:

1. Clip the hanging loop off of a clear plastic ornament using tin snips.

2. Normally the ornaments fit together vertically. Turn the ornament so it fits together horizontally to provide a bowl shape for planting small plants.

3. Mark the exact center of each half top and bottom. To do this, try dropping a bead inside (figure A), setting a level on top and marking the exact center. Drill a hole in the bottom half of the ornament (figure B) for a tight fit around the decorative cord selected.

4. Tie a knot in the end of the cord and thread it through the bottom half of the ornament so the knot is on the outside of the ornament (figure C). If desired, attach a tassel to the bottom of the cord.
