Fabric Artist

Carol Duvall Show : Episode CDS-149 -- More Projects »
The show goes on location to the studio of quilting maven Dottie Moore who specializes in one-of-a-kind, large pieces of art. Dottie works intuitively and does not use patterns or templates. She often starts without any idea of what she will end up with. Her sewing machine is to her what a brush is to the painter or what a hammer and chisel are to the sculptor. Her art expresses her feelings about the landscape that touches her, like the East Tennessee mountains, she said. She also sees her craft as a way to emphasize how important it is to preserve the environment.
