The Sew Much More cameras visit Ramoncita Sandoval. Sandoval was born on a Tewa Indian pueblo in San Juan, New Mexico, and it was there that she learned the needle art of Pueblo embroidery. The Pueblo embroidery stitch is distinguished from other types of embroidery by its up and down motion.

Traditionally Pueblo embroidery is worked on monk cloth, a loosely woven fabric. Ramoncita embellishes ceremonial garments with this distinctive stitch including pueblo dresses, mantas, ceremonial shirts and vests. We will learn about this needle art and see some of the beautiful items Ramoncita makes and embroiders when we visit her.
