Duplicate Stitch Memo

Carol Duvall Show : Episode CDS-222 -- More Projects »
Peg Edwards joins Carol to demonstrate how easy it is to add a hand-knit look to sweaters and other knitted items using yarn and an embroidery needle. Duplicate stitching is simply sewing an identical stitch over a stitch in a handmade knitted piece. Peg recommends sewing the duplicate stitches with the same weight of yarn that is found in the original piece, and using a needlepoint chart as a guide when adding the design. Most knitting patterns, books and even leaflets offer information on duplicate stitching.
